Aloha! Just back from a whirlwind trip to Hawaii and The Blue Note Honolulu. If you haven’t been, I do recommend it. There is something for everyone and what better way to enjoy live music, surrounded by long white sand beaches and ocean that beckons….
I had such a good time singing last week my big band pal Angela O’Neill and the Angel City Big Band. We’re doing it again this Saturday, but this time it’s with Angela’s ‘The Outrageous 8′ Big Band.
I went to a rehearsal with them last night and they were cook’n! This time, it’s an 8 piece big band and again, every single member is an extraordinarily talented musician. These guys can blow!
As always, great arrangements to some familiar tunes, standards, latin, swing, ballad….
And it’s the Summertime Show – so it’s a la casual at the VFW. Wear your favorite shirt and flip flops are welcome.
